I’m Morgan… the founder and curator of Bippity Boopity Booze. First blog posts are always awkward, so I’m just going to jump right in and tell you a little bit about myself, the point of this blog, and what you can expect in the future.
Let’s start with me (because… why not?!). I’ve been a Disney addict since I was born. My Dad worked with the company before I came along, and thus began my love affair with Disney. In case you need proof, here I am at the age of two(ish) at what appears to be a totally awesome Lion King character breakfast:
My (and my family’s) Disney addiction has lead me on countless trips to Walt Disney World, Disneyland, and even twice to Disneyland Paris. I also completed a Disney College Program in Walt Disney World, which you can read all about on the blog I kept about my time there.
Speaking of blogs… let’s talk about this one. While in the state of Post Disney Depression I’m constantly in when I’m not in the parks, I’ve been spending a lot of time getting my hands on all types of Disney fan created media. I’m following instagram users, Tumblr Blogs, even Facebook pages for not only the parks, but the people who love them. While doing so, however, I’ve learned that there’s a total lack of blogs/instagrams/what have you that cater to the young adult Disney fans.
Sure, there’s lots of Mom blogs, and a fair amount of blogs about how to Disney with special needs, and there’s always those who live in Orlando and just seem to spend every waking hour of their day at the Parks (not that I’m jealous). But I want to create a blog for people like me, people who are navigating careers, happy hours, relationships – all while waiting for Jet Blue to have a sale on tickets to Orlando and figuring out how to get their hands on those new Frozen Magic Bands.
So welcome – to Bippity Boppity Booze. I’ve assembled a team to help me write, post photos, and more here. I’m hoping this blog will become a place for people like us to reminisce about drinking around the world, to point out that Elsa’s parents life advice of ‘conceal don’t feel’ is pretty fucked up, and to just geek out about all things Disney.
And with that, in the words of Walt Disney: “To All Who Come To This Happy Blog, Welcome!” (Because that’s totally how that quote goes).
